Building Safer Communities, Together

For over 40 years, METRAC (the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children) has worked with individuals, communities, and institutions to prevent violence against women, gender-diverse people, and youth. Our online courses draw on this experience, turning decades of community-based research, safety innovation, and legal education into accessible learning for everyone.

Designed for youth, community members, frontline workers, service providers, educators, and organizations, our courses offer practical, evidence-informed tools rooted in equity, inclusion, and a gender-based lens. They reflect METRAC’s core areas of work:

• Community Safety: Learn to identify and address safety concerns in public and shared spaces, building on METRAC’s internationally recognized Safety Audit approach.
