What We Do
Our Areas of Impact
From community safety to youth leadership and workplace inclusion, our work addresses violence before it happens while supporting those who need information, resources and pathways to justice.
We Promote Safety
Helping communities become safer starts with listening.
METRAC works with women, youth, neighbours, students and workplaces to identify safety concerns, reduce risks and create environments where everyone can feel secure. Through our internationally recognized Safety Audit methodology and community-based initiatives, we help people identify barriers, strengthen local responses and prevent violence before it occurs.
We Increase Access to Justice
Understanding your rights should never be a barrier.
We provide legal education, practical resources and specialized training that help women, youth and frontline professionals better understand legal systems, available protections and pathways to justice.
Whether supporting survivors or training service providers, our goal is to make justice more accessible and easier to navigate.
We Build Youth Leadership
Young people have the power to create change.
Through ReAct, METRAC empowers youth to become leaders within their schools and communities. Participants learn to recognize warning signs of sexual assault, dating violence, bullying and harassment while developing the confidence to support peers and promote healthy relationships.
We Promote Equity & Includsion
Safer organizations begin with inclusive cultures.
We partner with workplaces, organizations and institutions to strengthen equity, diversity and inclusion through the lens of gender-based violence prevention.
Our consulting, workshops and strategic guidance help organizations build respectful, inclusive and safer environments for employees, clients and communities.
We Create Tools & Resources
Knowledge creates confidence.
METRAC develops practical resources that help individuals recognize violence, understand their rights and find support when they need it.
From publications and educational guides to interactive games and digital apps, our resources make complex information easier to understand and apply.
