This interactive online course equips Canadian youth with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to recognize, prevent, and respond to cyber violence in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. Grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and equity-centered practices, the course explores the many forms of cyber violence-including cyberbullying, online harassment, image-based abuse, hate speech, sextortion, misinformation, and technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Participants will develop digital citizenship skills, learn responsible online communication, strengthen their understanding of privacy and digital rights, and build resilience to navigate online spaces safely and respectfully. This course also examines the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI), emerging technologies, and digital platforms, empowering youth to make informed decisions in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Through real-world scenarios, interactive activities, and practical intervention strategies, learners will be equipped to protect themselves, support others, and foster safer, more inclusive online communities.
